Kate Sutherland lives in Toronto where she writes poems, makes collages, and teaches law. She is the author of two collections of short stories (Summer Reading and All In Together Girls) and a book of poems (How to Draw a Rhinoceros). Her stories and poems have appeared in various magazines and anthologies including Best Canadian Poetry 2016 and Best American Experimental Writing 2018. A new collection of poems on the theme of extinction, The Bones Are There, is forthcoming from Book*hug Press in Fall 2020.
